WEDDING CHILDCARE AS IT SHOULD BE
How Wedding Childcare Works
Planning a wedding is stressful enough. Arranging childcare shouldn’t be. With Super Sitters Wedding Childcare, your dedicated event manager ensures that all childcare matters are handled.

Our Wedding Childcare Process
1. Initial Inquiry & Consultation Call
Provide your wedding date, location, and a headcount (or range) of children and ages. You schedule a call with our team to verify details, where we gather details on your agenda, venue rules, and any special needs.
2. Proposal & Confirmation
Within 1–2 business days of our consultation call, we send a call summary and a custom childcare plan that outlines the number of sitters, schedule, setup needs (quiet room, activity area, breakout spaces), and costs and inclusions.
3. Finalize Logistics
Upon acceptance of the proposal, we begin accepting child registrations! Child registrations are due 6 weeks prior to your wedding. At this time, we confirm child counts and amend your final invoice accordingly. Either up or down!
We also reconfirm the day-of logistics and final details and secure your sitter team! 2 weeks before your wedding, our team will share the sitter team information with you and the parents/adults of the registered kiddos, ensuring everyone has the correct wedding childcare information!
4. Day-Of Setup & Supervision
Our sitter team arrives 30-60 minutes prior to kid drop-off to set up the kids’ space, check safety requirements, and brief staff.
During the wedding, sitters manage check-in and check-out, oversee activities, supervise snacks or meals, and maintain open communication with your planner/venue contact and parents as needed.
5. Wedding Success!
After the wedding, we handle the cleanup of the childcare area, ensure all children are reunited with parents, and provide feedback if requested.
About Our Wedding Sitters & Vetting Process
Your children are your most precious guests. We treat them — and you — accordingly. Here’s how we screen and place our wedding sitters.
Proven Experience
Wedding sitters have at least 3 years of professional childcare experience and a strong track record in events, evening supervision, and working with multiple age groups. Many of our sitters have backgrounds in the arts, education, healthcare, & camps!
Rigorous Screening
Our intake process includes multiple interviews, reference checks, full background checks, and verification of CPR & First Aid certifications. Learn more about our Sitter Intake Process.
Wedding-Specific Training
Our Super Sitters are trained for wedding environments: managing transitions, handling multiple age groups, and coordinating with wedding venues and planners. To qualify for wedding childcare placements, Super Sitters must have a proven track record on our roster.
Ongoing Quality Assurance
In addition to your dedicated Event Manager, a Lead Sitter is assigned to every wedding, managing childcare delegations, activities, and coordination with your day-of planner or venue contact. Large event childcare options also include on-site administrative management.
Backup & Redundancy
Wedding childcare with Super Sitters includes backup sitters to account for last-minute changes or emergencies.
Wedding Childcare FAQs

Why should we hire professional childcare for our wedding?
Providing childcare gives families peace of mind, allows guests to fully enjoy the celebration, and reduces distractions or stress for you and your vendors. Kids also get to have fun, socialize, and stay safe under supervision.
Do you work with all wedding venues?
Yes. We’ve provided childcare at hotels, banquet halls, private estates, barns, and more. Every venue has its own rules around liability, space, and insurance. We’ll coordinate directly with your venue to make sure everything is covered.
How many sitters do we need?
It depends on the number and ages of children, the schedule, and the venue layout. After our consultation call, our team will provide an estimate which includes the sitter count based on your expected kid count and details shared on the call. Once childcare registration is complete, we will amend the final invoice and sitter count according to actual wedding needs. Super Sitters reserves the right to determine the sitter count needed.
What is included in your wedding childcare packages?
We provide sitters, game, and activities suitable for all ages. We can also design theme-based programs, bring STEM and craft kits, and other custom entertainment solutions. Group childcare includes drop-off & pick-up management, quiet zone for naps / end of the night wind downs, and cleanup of the children’s area. Activity kit and scope is determined based on your wedding needs as outlined in your consultation call with our team, as well as any details identified leading up to your wedding day.
Do the sitters stay overnight or for extended hours?
Yes. We can provide late-night, overnight, or multi-day coverage for welcome dinners, receptions, or farewell brunches. Just let us know your schedule during planning.
How are safety and emergencies handled?
All sitters are CPR and First Aid certified, and we require emergency contact info from parents. A lead sitter coordinates protocols, carries a first aid kit, and ensures quick communication in case of any issue. In case of an emergency, we follow venue protocols and immediately notify parents.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking at least 8-12 weeks in advance, especially for peak wedding dates. We utilize an Addendum Process, where we adjust the final invoice ~6 weeks out based on your actual needs, so there’s no down side to reaching out early! The typical childcare registration deadline is 6 weeks before the event. Shorter lead times are possible, depending on sitter availability. Rush fees may apply.
What are the costs and payment terms?
Packages are priced with the following structure:
- Base Fee – covers everything in the corresponding package, including the minimum sitter count placement fees
- Sitter Hourly – per hour, per sitter – this is separate from and in addition to the Base Fee
- Additional Fees may include: Placement fees for any sitters needed above and beyond the package minimum, Large Event Fee – for weddings with 20+ children (which includes additional on-site administrative support), and/or Rush Fees (for wedding childcare booked with less than 6 weeks notice). Holiday surcharges also apply on major holidays and are included in any estimates where applicable. Travel Stipend and/or Parking may be required on a case by case basis.
Base Fee(s) are due to secure your wedding childcare, and are non-refundable. Balance is due 2 weeks before event.
