Whether you need a regular weekly placement or an occasional one-off placement, Super Sitters can accommodate almost any request. Our placement options make it possible to get the coverage you need while staying within budget.

Placement & Sitter Hourly Fees
Two fees apply to each booking: A Placement Fee and your Sitter’s Hourly Rate.
1. Initial $50 Registration Fee
One-time fee for local and visiting families
This one-time $50 registration fee is charged when you book your intake call. This call must be completed, and the fee must be paid before your first sitter request is confirmed. This fee is non-refundable once the call is complete.
Super Sitters distinguishes itself from other sitter services by taking the time to properly and completely match our sitters to families. When you’re new to us (even if visiting!), we take the time to get to know you and your children through your profile information and an intake call with a member of our staff, so we can confidently curate a selection of sitters who fit your needs.
2. Placement & Sitter Hourly Fees
Every time we place a sitter for you, you pay TWO fees.
- A Placement Fee, either One-Time or Recurring, depending on how long your sitter is with you.
- You pay your Sitter's Hourly Rate total directly to your sitter.
One-Time Placement Fees & Sitter Hourly Rates
Every time we place a sitter with you for a single request, you pay a One-Time Placement Fee. Placement Fees are due when placements are confirmed for each separate day a sitter is requested*.
1. Placement Fee, based on lead time:
- Request 14+ days in advance = $25 or 1 SuperCard credit
- Request 7-13 days = $35 or 1 SuperCard credit
- Request 3-6 days = $50 or 2 SuperCard credits
- Request <48hrs = $75 or 3 SuperCard credits
- Request <24hrs = $100 or 4 SuperCard credits
The agency selects sitter matches and does not include pre-meetings/interviews (we do this for you!). If you want to meet your sitter before your date, you can request a virtual pre-screening meeting for an additional fee.
*These fees also apply to families visiting Chicago.
2. Sitter Hourly Rate, based on number of children:
You pay your sitter’s total hourly fee directly to them at the end of the placement. Rates and variables are subject to change at the agency’s discretion, based on evolving family needs or changing placement requirements. Rates are for EVERY hour.
One-Time Placement Sitter Hourly Rates:
- 1 Child: $25/hour
- 2 Children: $26/hour
- 3 Children: $27/hour
- 4 Children: $28/hour
- 5+ Children: TBD (5 or more children may require a second sitter: Contact us to arrange.)

Recurring Placement Fees & Sitter Hourly Rates
When we place a sitter with you for an ongoing schedule, you pay a Recurring Placement Fee. Recurring Placements are weekly, the same day and time each week, and with the same sitter, for an ongoing schedule lasting 4 consecutive weeks or more. These can include virtual or trial-day meetings to ensure a proper long-term fit.
Recurring Placement Fees are invoiced monthly, starting from the date the placement begins. These fees apply to each sitter matched. For example, two regular sitters per week are considered two separate Recurring Placements and require two Recurring Placement Fees.
1. Placement Fee, based on frequency:
- 1 day/week = $50/month
- 2 days/week = $75/month
- 3 days/week = $100/month
- 4 days/week = $125/month
- 5 days/week = $150/month
These Recurring Placement Fees include Super-Sitter backup, meaning that if your regularly scheduled sitter is sick or unable to attend any of their regularly scheduled hours, we will search for a replacement at no additional charge.

Sitter Hourly Rate Add-Ons
- Infant (6mos or under): +$2/hour
- Sitter in Hotel Room/AirBnB/etc.: +3/hr
- Sitter working somewhere other than the family home: +$3-5/hr (depending on the location)
- Combined Families (two or more): +$5/hr for the first extra child from family #2, 3, etc. and $2 for each additional.
- Gas/Travel stipend: Please refer to the IRS Standard Mileage rate for the current year.
- Special Skills Required (Language, special training): $TBD depending on request.
- Overnight Care: Rates vary
Cancellation Fees
A placement is considered confirmed when a sitter is assigned, and details have been sent via email. The timestamp (date and time in CST) and our delivery confirmation system will be used as time/date reference.
Cancellation fees are applicable once the placement is confirmed.
Cancellations are charged/assessed based on the timestamp on the submitted Family Cancellation Form. The Placement Fee is retained for cancelled placements. Outstanding invoices for confirmed & cancelled placements remain due.
Fees for cancelling a placement are as follows:
- No fee due if a placement is cancelled before it is confirmed
- $50 if a placement for less than 8 hours is cancelled after it has been confirmed, with more than 48 hours notice.
- $75 if a placement for more than 8 hours is cancelled after it has been confirmed, with more than 48 hours notice.
- $Full Hourly Fee for a cancelled placement if it’s cancelled with less than 48 hours before placement start time.
- $Full Hourly Fee for canceled placement may apply if during a high volume time or holiday week/weekend, placement is 8+ hours, or if the agency deems a special circumstance. Check in with us if you think this may apply.
- Placement Fee credits are only issued if a placement cannot be filled after sitter cancellation.

Get a SuperCard and Save 20% on ALL One-Time Booking Fees!
A SuperCard is an easy way to prepay your Placement Fees and make booking a lot faster. SuperCards are $200 for 10 credits, which saves you at least 20% with each booking. You still need to pay your Super Sitter directly!
How a SuperCard Works
SuperCards are loaded with 10 credits for $20 each. Our regular placement fee is $25-$100 based on the amount of notice you give us. Instead of paying that fee, you’ll use your SuperCard Credits, so your Placement Fee lowers to $20-$80. We keep track of how many credits you have, so if you have questions about your balance, email supercard@chicagosupersitters.com.
SuperCards are $200 for 10 Credits. When you use it for booking a sitter, you use:
- 1 SC credit with 7 or more days’ notice
- 2 SC credit with 3–6 days’ notice
- 3 SC credits with less than 48 hours’ notice
- 4 SC credits with less than 24 hours’ notice
Policies
- SuperCards are non-refundable and non-transferable
- SuperCards can not be used for Recurring Placement Fees
- Sitter Hourly Rates are separate, paid directly to the sitter, and due at the end of each placement.
- All Sitter placements require a minimum of 3 hours.
