How it Works
1. Complete the Family Registration Form
Just like with local families, we want to hear all about you, your kid(s) and get the info needed to match you to sitters.
2. Complete Your Intake Call
You schedule this call after you complete the Family Registration Form. This call is 15 or 30mins (your choice!) and is required of all Super Sitter families, even if you are just visiting.
3. Submit Your Request(s)
Once your intake call is complete, we will send you a profile activation link and you can submit your request(s)! You will add your hotel/local location info on this form.
4. We Match A Super Sitter!
We get to work! We’ll match a sitter to the placement based on all of your family’s specifics. This is done by a real human person at Super Sitters – factoring in kid ages, location, time changes, allergies, and more. For real, you’ll be matched by actual humans – no bots here!
5. We Confirm Your Sitter
We send you a calendar confirmation, and then send your Super Sitter’s full profile – including fave snack foods, feedback from other families, and details about their childcare background.
You pay the agency when we confirm the placement, and you pay your sitter directly. See our Pricing and Fees for more information.
6. You're All Set!
It’s go time! Your Super Sitter is booked and confirmed.
Your sitter will arrive at the scheduled time, you’ll share the info they’ll need for a successful time with the kids in the away-from-home setting, and that’s it! You can head out in Chicago, confident that your children are in Super hands.
Hotel Babysitter FAQs
What if the sitter gets sick and has to cancel?
We send backup! If we have you confirmed, we will make sure you have the coverage (even if it’s last minute). We know your plans are important.
What if one of my kids gets sick? do we have to cancel?

Can I get the same sitter for multiple days/nights?
We will always try, yes! Best plan here is to give us as much notice as possible so we have enough lead time to find sitters that are available for multiple dates.
Can/will the babysitter stay in the hotel room for the whole placement?
Yes, if this is your preference, absolutely! We know this could be a new city, new surroundings, new process, and there may be extra anxiety involved. If you want them to stay put, just say so!
I have a very young baby, can I be sure to get a sitter with infant experience?
Absolutely, yes! You will only meet a sitter that has the appropriate experience with your child(ren)’s age. This is the most important matching factor, especially for the young babes
Will the Super Sitter take my kid(s) out to see Chicago stuff?
Yes! We LOVE to show off our city to visiting kids! If you want a sitter to take the kid(s) to a museum, or on the train, or even just to a park nearby, our sitters love an adventure. This takes a bit more communication RE: cash for admissions or food, and good details on the day’s agenda.
Why do sitters stay with Super Sitters?
We love and appreciate our sitters and make sure they know it. We advocate for them, provide resources, support, backup, and advice.

Does a hotel babysitter just sit in the dark after bedtime?
Yep, if it’s a one-room space, they will put the kid(s) to bed, and sit in the dark, or a dimly lit room, quietly. If you have a suite or a home rental, they will sit in the separate room as with in-home placements.
Will Super Sitters swim with my child(ren)?
This depends sitter to sitter, and family to family, with extra safety expectations/questions involved. This can be requested but not guaranteed, and can be discussed during your intake call!
Does the Super Sitter bring toys or games with them?
Some sitters will bring some small things with them, but this should not be expected unless specifically requested.
Are a Hotel Nanny and Hotel Sitter the same thing?
At Super Sitters, yes they are! We define these roles simply as sitters are part time, and nannies are full time, and these do not have anything to do with experience level.
