Register and create a profile
Brag about your family and tell us what makes you awesome. Tell us about the kids, the pets, the home, the quirks, and the works. Details make our world go ’round.

Schedule your intake call
You will get an email with a link to schedule an intake call and pay a $50 registration fee. On this call we go over your profile and gather the information to match you with your perfect sitter.

Request your Super Sitter
You’ll get your portal login after the intake call. You can then login anytime and request a sitter in-home, or while visiting. The more notice you give us, the more affordable it is.

How to Book Your Super Sitter
What happens when you want to book a Super Sitter? After you’re set up as a Super Family, you have all the access you need. It’s a simple process:
- Log into your account and request a sitter for a date or dates
- Pay your Placement Fee, which varies based on the amount of lead time provided
- Receive your sitter details via email, and pay your sitter directly
What happens if you get sick or need to cancel?
Great questions. We have a policy for that! Make sure to familiarize yourself with our policies so there aren’t any surprises. Clear communication is a top priority around here.

Am I guaranteed a sitter when I submit a request?
No, we can’t guarantee coverage for every request submitted.
However, we do have a large number of qualified sitters that have flexible availability, and we are rarely unable to fill a request.
We strongly encourage you to give Super Sitters as much notice as possible when requesting a sitter and we promise to reply to you quickly if we do not look to have coverage for you.
Will I be able to get the same sitter every time?
We’ll always try!
If you meet a Super Sitter that your family absolutely loves, we will do our best to place them with you again. However, schedules change and conflicts arise so we will not be able to guarantee your first choice sitter every time.
Super Tip: Complete the feedback form whenever you’ve met a new sitter. This helps us know who you love, so we can build your bench of favorites!
I have a very young baby, can I be sure to get a sitter with infant experience?
Absolutely, yes! You will only meet a sitter that has the appropriate experience with your child(ren)’s age. This is the most important matching factor, especially for the young babes.
We have a dog and a cat. Will a sitter be okay with that?
Yes! This is a very important matching factor! We know pets are family and are often the first bab(ies) of the family, and we will make sure your sitter knows that too.
Just like with the kids, make sure your sitter has any info needed. Especially as the kids and pets figure out their new relationship, make sure your sitter knows the drill (food rules, gentle pets, etc.).
How do you find sitters?
Many of our sitters are found through word of mouth. We rely heavily on recommendations from others—parents, friends of parents, and other sitters.
We also recruit and source in very specific places when looking for new sitters so we are sure we are getting the best of the best.

Can I just contact my favorite sitter directly? Do I have to submit a request every time?
Yes, please submit a request every time. Each request must go through our booking system.
Our system is based on trust. If a family and sitter who have met through Super Sitters book directly without informing the agency and submitting an official request, it is grounds for dismissal from the roster for both parties.
This policy includes referring families and/or sitters that have been introduced or connected by Super Sitters.
Why do sitters stay with Super Sitters?
We love and appreciate our sitters and make sure they know it. We advocate for them, provide resources, support, backup, and advice.
Childcare can be a tough industry, often with little support for providers. We make sure our sitters feel informed and equipped to do their best job, knowing they are respected and appreciated. They know the agency has their back. Read more here.
Can my Recurring Sitter come for date nights too?
Yes.
Please submit a separate request for needs outside your recurring schedule, but we will check with your recurring sitter first if you ask for them!
Can I use a Nanny Cam?
With the new technology in our world, cameras are everywhere: security systems, baby monitors, programs on phones, and there are still the old fashioned hidden “teddy bear eye” cameras.
Cameras can be a great tool to know what is going on in your home with your kiddos when you aren’t there, but they can also feel intrusive or violating to a caregiver if they don’t know they are being watched.
Super Sitters asks that you please tell your sitter if and when recording devices are in use.
How do I give feedback?
We want your feedback — good or not so good! Want to brag on a sitter? Or, something didn’t go as you’d hoped? Complete a Family Feedback form, or email us at feedback@chicagosupersitters.com to let us know the details.
How much does a babysitter cost?
- Registration Fee is due for all new clients, paid when you book your intake call.
- Placement Fees are charged for each confirmed babysitting request. The amount of the fee is based on the amount of notice provided prior to your request. These range from $25-$100 and are billed upon confirmation of sitter placement.
- Recurring Placement Fees are billed monthly when you set up a regular babysitter for your family.
Cancellation Fees are due if a placement is cancelled after a placement has been confirmed and details have been sent. Cancellation Fees apply to recurring placements as well as individual, and apply even if a request is scheduled for a different day.
Registration and Placement Fees must be paid prior to request to guarantee confirmation.
